DCA Centurion Lounge is a great addition to the network. Visited for a morning flight. Breakfast options were pretty standard, other than the chocolate croissants. These chocolate croissants have to be some of the best I’ve ever had at an airport lounge, and are on-par with a higher end French bakery. Absolutely delicious and perfectly flakey. Please do not switch out whatever vendor provides these.
I recently visited the Centurion Lounge and found it to be a nice and spacious environment, perfect for relaxing before my flight. The lounge had plenty of seating, which made it easy to find a comfortable spot to unwind. However, the food was somewhat underwhelming compared to what I expected based on their advertising. They promote a “Curated menu featuring popular dishes by top Centurion Lounge chefs,” but I didn’t quite see that during my visit. The morning breakfast included oatmeal, croissants, muffins, a nice selection of fruits, sausages, and sweet potatoes. While it was enough to provide a decent breakfast, it didn’t live up to the culinary experience they advertised. Overall, it’s a good lounge to relax in with a satisfactory breakfast selection, but don’t set your expectations too high for a gourmet meal.
Amex lounges are overcrowded and poorly managed. Only one slow employee to handle a 20-person line without informing newcomers about the waitlist, showing disregard for members.Amex is in a race to the bottom.
Beautiful lounge located in the busy terminal #2, just before the end of the main stretch before it turns to the terminal 1 pathway. Recently opened so I think they have some kinks to work out, but overall a good experience. But for a lounge brand that takes pride in their chef inspired foods, it was not on par. I was there through breakfast and lunch. Was greeted at the door but no information was provided. I had to ask about the lounge to know where to go, etc. The food buffet for breakfast included slabs of eggs and shakshuka that was dried up and crunchy sunny side up eggs. The fruit spread was fresh and very good though. I later tried a few small bites of lunch which was chicken, asparagus, and polenta. Very average in my opinion. I hope they improve and suspect they will since they just opened. Overall the atmosphere was nice though with windows all around, on the top floor of the terminal. And various seating options like conference rooms, chairs, tables, and regular bar seating. There's also showers here. The bathrooms were very clean and had a luxury feel with upscale brand soap and lotion. I'll be back for sure, just hoping they get through the new lounge kinks.
This is a new lounge. Reception was friendly and actually smiled and asked friendly questions. The lounge was overall clean and while busy the noise was minimal. The food looked good and had nice flavor but was ICY cold. The two tables around me sat with dirty dishes and no customers for the length of my stay (~30 mins).
