Lounge empty and there's "no room" with priority pass. Don't bother they don't accept it.
Meh~expected better. As a Morning Calm member, decided to relax at the lounge and grabe a bite to eat before my night flight. Food options are mediocre so Instant Ramyun noodles are probably your best bet. Why can't they just provide Korean food items instead of stale sandwiches and cold chicken wings and boring fried rice? Just put Kimchi Fried Rice, Bulgogi, and maybe some lettuce wraps and make everyone happy for God's sake! KAL really trying to cut corners nowadays which is ridiculous. Hopefully they improve after merging with Asiana, which actually offered better inflight food compared to KAL.
This is …… We just got profiled at the Korean Air lounge a few minutes ago. The lady said it was at capacity and turned us away but when two white guys came over they went right in. You could easily see that there were empty seats in the lounge. I used to be a big fan of Korean Air and have encouraged others to take it. Now I’m skeptical about the rest of the service. I hope it’s not the same as when we are on the plane.
As an economy passenger, I was fortunate to enter as a Morning Calm Club member. I had a refreshing shower, and although there weren't many things to do, I had a quick meal, and it was great to spend time with cup ramen and drinks. The staff are so friendly.
Very rude. Didn't allow to enter. Stated that the place was full. It looked like only 3 people were inside.
The Korean Air Lounge at JFK Airport is a refreshing oasis for travelers seeking comfort and tranquility before their flights. Located in Terminal 1, the lounge is spacious and elegantly designed, featuring a modern aesthetic that incorporates traditional Korean elements. Upon entry, guests are greeted by friendly staff who ensure a smooth check-in process. The lounge offers ample seating options, from cozy nooks to more communal areas, providing a relaxing environment to unwind. The amenities are top-notch, including clean and well-maintained showers, a quiet area for relaxation, and plenty of charging stations for electronic devices. One of the highlights is the food and beverage selection. The lounge offers a variety of complimentary Korean dishes, along with international favorites, ensuring that there’s something for every palate. The self-service bar features a good selection of wines, spirits, and Korean beverages, making it a pleasant spot to enjoy a drink. While the lounge can become busy during peak travel times, it generally maintains a calm atmosphere. However, seating can sometimes be limited during rush hours. Overall, the Korean Air Lounge at JFK provides an excellent pre-flight experience, combining comfort, quality service, and a taste of Korean hospitality that leaves a lasting impression on travelers. Whether you’re a frequent flyer or just passing through, it’s definitely worth a visit.
The worst airport lounge I've ever been to... During operating hours right before the Korean Air direct flight from New York to Korea, they placed an employee who doesn't speak Korean at the reception desk, and he wasn't friendly and annoyed... Is this a lounge operated by KAL? I don't think I'll be able to wait 2 hours for a shower... It's an old airport, so the facilities may be old, but I think the service could be better than this.
I liked the menu to choose from.
Great AirPort
Relaxed and clean lounge. Food menu is not extensive but what they had was fresh. Self serve bar and beer fridge. I have priority pass, flying to Asia.
I loved how every Korean air lounge had Ramen. I also think the Korean food at the lounge was awesome lovely view of the 747-8i of Korean air and also the Asiana a350. The staff were nice and a Korean staff helped me make my instant ramen taste so much better!!
Excellent lounge with great service and quiet atmosphere. Nice set up with amenities such as shower service. The view from the lounge is just breathtaking seeing the plane arrived at the gate from up high!!!
Have all the basic that you would expect from a lounge such as hot food, cold selection, non alc and alcoholic beverage. Friendly check-in staff and the lounge itself is clean. Only note is the seats are very close to each other. Luckily when I visit, the lounge is quite empty so this is not a problem but might be when the lounge is crowded
Food was good/okay and they do have complimentary alcoholic drinks 🥃 But.. the seats were too closed to each other 😬 didn’t feel comfortable there. (And ac was not strong enough 💦)
Me and my family went to airport early. We checked in and we were extremely hungry and we did not eat breakfast. However the JFK Korean air lounge had amazing food and the customer service was amazing. My family had a great time and we were all full.
