Great lounge in general, but they won't do anything about screaming children or people who are playing loud video games on speakerphone, which honestly defeats the purpose of the lounge.
For the money we spend, this lounge sucks. Like, ridiculously bad. Unisex bathrooms that are dirty. Not many food options. Loud kids. Layout is small with very few seating arrangements. With a HUGE hub like NYC— you think this lounge would be worth the card.
Great lounge
Don’t understand why it’s not allowed come in before 3 hours to take off
Great lounge with excellent Cocktails!
I was denied access yesterday because Carlos at the front desk told me they only allow people with departing flight tickets… however that’s not what I’ve been told before. The manager was busy on a call and never came to help. All I needed was to use the bathroom. Customer service is horrible here.
I arrived from a long flight from Singapore earlier at 10.05 AM than anticipated at 11.15 AM. My next flight on Delta was at 4 pm from JFK to Atlanta, however, I was lucky enough for Delta to place me on the 1.30 PM standby or waitlist. I tried to access the Amex Lounge and was told they do not accept waitlist tickets. Lacking any good customer service as well. I was rather told to come back at 1 pm when my standby flight leaves at 1.30 PM Meanwhile, I own both Platinum and Delta reserve cards. What good is having these cards when you cannot access the lounge after a long 21-hour flight from Asia and a standby ticket isn't good enough? I made it to the Delta Sky Club and had no issues accessing it. Needless to say, I made it on the 1.30 PM flight out of JFK. I will rethink these cards and consider the CSR
Busy day here. Day before Thanksgiving, so should have expected a crowd. Very nice place which is quiet amongst all of the bustle of the airport. Good, interesting food and drinks. I have enjoyed this each tume I go.
The lounge is long and narrow with two floors. We found the food minimal; there was chicken, rice and vegetables. Nothing else, no sandwiches, chips or anything like that. The bartender was super friendly hence the 3 stars.
Excellent place to recharge after a long flight with shower food and drinks
Okay. They make up their own rules. I find the morning staff gives better service than the eventing staff. The guy Carlos inconvenienced me and didn’t apologize after confirming my ticket as if he works for Delta (looking into my ticket further than he should). Then I seen him harass guest inside the lounge, very unprofessional.
The Best Lounge at JFK Airport. Regarding food and friendliness. Cleanliness needs to be better. Too long waiting time. The staff needs to do better here. And it has to be cleaned faster. But the other lounges are not to be enjoyed. The food and the bar are TOP.
Disappointing Experience at JFK Centurion Lounge I was extremely underwhelmed by my recent visit to the Centurion Lounge at JFK. Given the reputation and exclusivity of the lounge, I expected a much higher standard, but unfortunately, the amenities fell far short. First off, the food selection was very disappointing. The options were limited and lacked variety, and the quality was mediocre at best. Most dishes were bland and unappetizing, and it seemed like they were sitting out for too long, which made them taste stale. For a lounge that advertises itself as a premium experience, the food certainly did not live up to expectations. Even more concerning was the cleanliness of the food area. Plates and utensils were not properly cleaned, and there were visible crumbs and spills on the counters. It didn’t inspire much confidence in the hygiene standards, which is especially troubling in a setting where food is served. The state of the restrooms was just as disappointing. They were poorly maintained, with overflowing trash bins and dirty floors. I understand that the lounge can get busy, but cleanliness should never be compromised. It’s surprising and frustrating that such basic standards were not upheld. Overall, my visit to JFK Centurion Lounge was a letdown. For the premium price and exclusivity, I expected much better in terms of both food and cleanliness. I won’t be in a hurry to return, and I hope improvements are made soon.
Thank goodness for this lounge and the speakeasy. Traveling during the summer on a Saturday the airport and most of the lounge was packed and loud. The speakeasy offered a great spot to enjoy a cocktail in a calm setting. The food options are pretty varied and fresh.
I am a frequent traveler and have been using this lounge for over two years, initially considering it one of the best among Amex lounges. However, for the past two months, the showers have been out of service. Today, I had to wait 15 minutes just to join a 30-minute waiting list because the lounge was supposedly full. When I finally got inside, it was only at 50% capacity, yet people were still waiting outside. Additionally, the food options have remained exactly the same every time I visit.
Good lounge with 2 levels and plenty of spaces to wait for your flight. Food menu is decent, and it also offers a bar and a speakeasy. Comfortable, spacious and with nice amenities. Nothing oustanding but I had a nice experience overall.
Mixed reviews here as I came here twice. Given this is their flagship lounge I think some Asian lounges are better (except for Speakeasy). 7.30am: below par experience Unexpectedly bad (other reviews will tell you the same). Only 1 floor open, no other facilities available. Morning sun shines right in the windows... Not many seats until they decided to open the bottom floor earlier (thank you for this) due to capacity concerns. Food is better than priority pass lounges in Asia (but severely lacking against business class Asia lounges) 7.30pm: good experience * bodyworks is great.... Make this your first stop once you get in. Even a 10 minute session of compression helps. * food selection decent, the main highlight is the Speakeasy and bars (they do different drinks!). Speakeasy has the coolest place if you can get a seat. It starts to empty out after 8.30pm * showers not available....seems under maintenance which is a minus point.
Visited on a Friday afternoon and it wasn’t as crowded/busy as peak periods. The food and drinks quality/spread are alright, but nowhere as good as Delta Sky Club located in the same terminal. The layout is also a little cramped and as it receives a lot of sunlight, it was warm when I visited. The best seating in the house would be the bar on the lower floor at the back where it is quieter and discreet.
