Disappointing Experience at the Miami Centurion Lounge I expected more from the Centurion Lounge, especially given the hype and the cost of the American Express Platinum card. Unfortunately, my experience at the Miami lounge was underwhelming. First, the lounge was extremely overcrowded. Finding a seat was almost impossible, and the noise level made it hard to relax or work. It felt more like a busy food court than an exclusive lounge. Second, the food selection was limited and subpar. Many of the items were either cold or had run out entirely by the time I arrived. The beverage options were similarly lackluster—hardly what I’d expect from a premium experience. Lastly, the staff who checks in guests are extremely unprofessional and rude , which was surprising for a lounge of this caliber. Overall, the Centurion Lounge at MIA fell far short of expectations. If AmEx wants to maintain its reputation for premium experiences, significant improvements are needed here.
I've always loved this place since it first opened with its views out across the airport. One of the best lounges in Miami. I've always found the food to be a bit better than what is served in the other lounges in Miami. Its only challenge was a product of its success: that it was frequently crowded during peak periods. After a long awaited expansion, I hoped that would be resolved but it didn't take long for the overcrowding to catch up. On my last visit, there was a 40 minute wait and at the bottom of the elevator I was offered a turkey sandwich and some water instead. I can appreciate that they are trying to manage the number of users and also appreciate the courtesy of letting us know before we even go up there. However, these lounges are a major reason why I continue to carry my AMEX Platinum card, even though I'm doubting that value now that they charge an additional $80 for my wife and little son. So needless to say, a disappointing experience. Fortunately, other lounges like that of American Airlines have finally upgraded their game and I took refuge there. So I can't really give the Centurion a low rating but I'm not happy either.
It’s nice, but the same food is served everyday so every time we fly we get the same chicken, rice and plantains. The Nitro Brew coffee was on point!
We don’t usually get to go in the lounge as we have the kiddos so it was a fun experience! Lots of areas to enjoy, watch the plans and drink a mimosa, or two! :) we didn’t try the food.
Excellent to start a relaxed trip!
We're Admirals Club, so there is no additional cost. Nice lounge, just stark, simple.
This was a nicer Centurion Lounges that I’ve used recently. I really didn’t eat much as I was well fed from my LAX flight. So I couldn’t tell if the quality of the food is good or not. There were plenty of seatings and some were comfortable. Unfortunately there were guests who took off their shoes and decided to sleep on the bench type of seatings. Then again, this is Miami, general behavioral rules don’t really apply here.
This is by far the worst Centurion Lounge location. We were greeted by a very rude front desk employee. Instead of a warm welcoming, he told us to make sure we get in a single file line when exiting. We’re on a connecting flight and just need a place for relaxation since Miami airport gate is always packed. There were several employees walking around but many tables were not clean. I understand that it’s fast pace with thousand of travelers but I had to clear the table myself so we can get seated. The food was not fresh. The selection is horrible. Amex expect you to spent 75k yearly for bad service lounge and horrible food. Avoiding this place next time. Food service area needs to be clean.
An amazing club with great service as usual. Good food, a full alcohol bar, combined with a separate wine and beer bar. Three sets of separate men and women’s restrooms. I only gave them a damn grade in stars slightly because I questioned the reasoning with admissions. I paid for my two kids and my wife and I went in with them together. However, there were not three seats together together in the entire establishment let alone for. It was pretty packed with a high rotation of people moving in and out. When I asked at the front counter when they stopped, allowing people in, the attendant at the front desk when they run out of seats, however she didn’t take into consideration that I might want my six-year-old daughter to sit next to me instead of in a different area next to a stranger . Or a reasonable alternative would be that they would tell families that are checking in that they don’t have any more available seats for them altogether. Again America Express centurion lounges are the best that exist. That’s it. Slight hesitation with the amount of people here but these are the best places for travelers anywhere. Thank you for your help and I hope to come again soon.
Centorium launch never disappointed us. The drinks the food the staff and the ambiance is always a delight. In this specific one we found the most amazing and nice people. They care about every detail and always willing to make you feel special. Thank you for make our stay in the airport so great.
I recently visited the Centurion Lounge at Miami International Airport and it was really nice! The people there were super welcoming. I got there early on a Sunday morning around 7:30 am and walked right in without any wait. But by the time I was leaving, there was a big line right outside the elevator. The food selection was good and variety of fruits, pastries and hot breakfast. The staff were awesome – really friendly and they made sure I had everything I needed. The place was super clean too; you could tell they were working hard to keep it that way. I totally think you should check it out if you're at the airport.
