What a great lounge to visit . I flew into Terminal 8 and the closest lounge available was in Terminal 1. Took the air train and it was super easy to get there. Upon arrival the check in was simple and easy . You don’t have to go through security which is super convenient considering I have to go back through it in terminal 8. I was impressed with their food menu which was a la cart. Joy and Jordan went the extra mile by delivering tasteful bites and providing a premium experience . They were very welcoming and hospitality on point .
Great service and good food! While not very large, there has been plenty of space both times I've been there. And they can speed tour way though security. Special thanks to Joy and Indira!
This lounge lets you cut to the front of security: literally to the x-ray machines, bypassing pre-check etc entirely. Lounge staff handle your trays and boarding pass for you. The lounge itself is quite small however it has a handful of alcoholic drinks and snacks (and maybe hot food? There seemed to be a kitchen). I just used loungekey to get in, and then a different lounge past security.
You can't enter T1 with a boarding pass from another terminal but you can use this one if you have Priority Pass. The food menu is decent for lunch/dinner. Very small lounge but it's the only one landside in JFK with priority pass. Real benefit is you can skip the security line if you are going to T1.
While I was flying from Terminal 8, there was no lounge associated with my priority pass so I went to terminal 1. I was not allowed to get through the security as my flight was not taken off from here. But I was told I could use VIP One lounge outside of the security check. Only if I knew this lounge had nothing to do as a “VIP”, I would not take this trouble traveling from T8 to T1 and waste one of my passes. The space is small and very limited. You could scan a code to order some “food”. But it had just some pancakes, yogurt, scrambled eggs. The scrambled eggs was cold and salty. The latter was lack of milk foam. There was no power outlet to charge my phone. Probably the only good thing is that it provides a fast access to security check if you are flying from T1. But I would wonder if you fly from T1, why not pass the security check yourself and find a better lounge in the terminal? There are plenty of other good choices.
