I recently experienced the British Airways Lounge at JFK under less-than-ideal circumstances and I have to say, they turned a tiring and frustrating situation into a pleasant one. My flight from Houston to London with American Airlines was diverted to JFK due to technical difficulties. Unfortunately, the American Airlines ground team provided little support, essentially just a blanket and a bag pretzels. Enter British Airways. They truly saved the day. The lounge offered not just a refuge but an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. The food selection was excellent, with a variety of delicious breakfast options, and the coffee was simply splendid. Every detail was handled with care and precision, making what could have been a chaotic experience feel seamless. The highlight, without a doubt, was the staff. Their superb customer service and ability to accommodate stranded passengers with such grace truly stood out. British Airways hospitality at its best!

A travel lounge for American Airlines, and British Airway passengers at JFK Airport, New York. Typical American style with salad bar, cold entry sections. Hot entries include soups, rice. Open and self-service drink bar. Plenty of seating arrangements. There is shower room as well.

The lounge was very warm. Eventually when I reported it, i was told they were aware of the problem. It seems they did not care. I do not think they understand vegetarian options.

Ladies and gents, I love this lounge!! I was told by a representative in the Admirals Lounge at another gate that I could use this "VIP" lounge since I was flying internationally. This location closes at 1am, the other lounges closes at 10:30pm. That's perfect for me since my flight out of the country leaves at 1:30am. The design of this spacious flagship lounge is sleek and modern. There are plenty of seats, booths, tables, single booth type comfy chairs with an outlet. Outlets are plentiful here along with the space to move around to the different areas if you so desire. There is a section for food in the lounge that is sort of the norm, they also have a separate section of the lounge labeled The Tasting Room. The booths and seats in that area are cozy and the lighting is dim. My favorite thing about this place is that the wine, alcohol, and beer are all SELF SERVE!! I have only seen this at a lounge in Japan and I remember thinking, "Why aren't we doing this in America?" It's nice to not have to deal with the everyday bartender/customer banter then worrying about what is is a decent tip when we're receiving free spirits due to our membership. I'm not against tipping and I know that's how our bartenders make a good portion of their living. I myself was a bartender for 1.5yrs after college. It's just nice to not have to worry about that while still in America. There's a beautifully set up wine tasting table with several bottles of different types of wine with wine glasses surrounding the table. There is a cooler for different types of beers. A station towards the end of the food section has several types of alcohols with a variety of tonics, sodas, and ginger ales in a refrigerated section beneath the alcohols.

Sat in here for hours due to a long layover. Was very pleased. The staff were nice and the food was good. They lots of seating options and nice to get work done. The pub has very yummy food like pub pretzles. The showers were big and refreshing. It did get pretty packed towards the late afternoon. When a big influx of people come in it can get pretty loud. But overall great lounge!

Coffee machine broken, soft drinks empty, no hot water for tea. No forks, no wine glasses. No hot food. Worst lounge experience ever. Plus metal found in food, told staff. No response and kept serving the dish to others

Very solid and spacious Lounge. Food selection was decent in the evening - even around 10pm a broad variety of food was available. Big big plus have been the showers in the lounge. A lot of space and very clean. This was perfect after a long day and before a long haul flight. The star reduction is due to some staff being below average friendly and limited helpful. Please note the overall staff was excellent and nothing complain about - just 2-3 people provided the feeling to not bother them while being e.g. on their smartphone.

We were in the lounge early morning. Breakfast offerings were good. Nothing spectacular but they included fruit and a kale salad which was refreshing. Lounge was large with many seating options. Definitely comfortable and clean.
